AC Varosi Pendayia 2 v Tripimeni-Aris 6

Mar 4, 10 at 8:30 PM, Northumberland Park Community School, Trulock Road, Tottenham

A scintillating performance by Tripimeni-Aris saw the league leaders extend their advantage to four points over New Salamis as they home in on the title. Steven Cinotti's team started at a ferocious pace and were in front on 8 minutes through Rob Collins. They held onto the lead for just three minutes as Marios Georgiou arrowed a free kick into the back of the Tripimeni-Aris net. It was to be a minor set back for the visitors as they surged forward in numbers. Two corners undid AC Varosi Pendayia as Tripimeni-Aris took a stranglehold on the match. Tyrone Husbands crashed in a thumpin header before Marios Georgiou put through his own net. The pressure was incessant by Tripimeni-Aris and they added a fourth on 40 minutes when Lawrence Constanti hit a stunning shot with the outside of the boot from 20 yards that hit the post and went in off the goalkeeper. AC Varosi Pendayia pulled a goal back minutes before the interval through Ahmet Ahmet's long range shot before Tripimeni-Aris let loose in the second period. The hosts were punished on the hour mark when they failed to clear their lines allowing Peter Antoniades to convert from close range. Antoniades then rattled the crossbar two minutes later as Tripimeni-Aris went in search of more goals. Substitute Evren Altinok added a sixth before Lawrence Constant struck the crossbar from 30 yards out in the 80th minute.
